Dreamworld sought an interactive walk-through experience celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, wildlife and traditional stories. Dreamworld approached Xzibit (formally Focus Productions) with ambitious ideas, a conservative budget, a short lead-time and plans for an installation in a yet-to-be constructed building.
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT CHALLENGES
Xzibit worked alongside the Dreamworld team to develop a range of concepts into working installations. A key component was an overhead feature: a 12-metre long rainbow serpent light box display. This challenging structure needed to be hung on an angle from a non-load bearing ceiling and we had to make sure we could get it through a limited door space.
A GREAT RESULT – WITHIN PROGRAM & BUDGET
Drawing on their resources, experience and skills, the Xzibit team gladly stepped up to the challenge to design, fabricate and install this stunning centrepiece that strengthens and unifies the surrounding culturally-themed displays.
