After years of heavy use and declining functionality, the student facilities at the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE required a creative and thoughtful refurbishment. Various areas ready for rethinking included:
- Main entrance
- Large casual seating areas
- Study eating areas
CONSTRUCTION DURING BUSINESS HOURS IN A PUBLIC VENUE – WITHIN PROGRAM AND BUDGET
The project required the installation to take place while TAFE was open for classes. Understandably, this created a challenge for the Focus team who managed to deliver the project on time and on budget without unduly disrupting operations.
A modern and inviting space now welcomes students, employees and visitors to TAFE. Functional, attractive, interactive and and sometimes whimsical seating areas encourage people to relax, study, or engage. Large decorative panels, bold and bright seats and graphics, and suspended tablets transform formerly ordinary spaces into popular campus destinations.
