CLIENT BRIEF
The Fraser Coast Council required an experienced and resourceful company who could refresh their Bond Store and Customs House exhibits as part of a broader refurbishment of the Portside Precinct. The council’s goal was to create an environment where visitors step back in time to when trade was booming in Maryborough and hopeful immigrants arrived on Australian soil ready to start a new life.
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT CHALLENGES
This project required the reconceptualisation of all displays while working within compressed time frames and bearing in mind Heritage building restrictions. Working remotely from the client during design and content development called for developing innovative and reliable collaboration methods.
A GREAT RESULT – WITHIN PROGRAM & BUDGET
There is renewed interest in the Precinct from both visitors and locals alike and the venues are alive with activity.
